Project Summary
PERSPECT is a 3D perspective puzzle game that was developed as a part of my Master’s Thesis at Drexel University. PERSPECT presents puzzles designed around the concept of spatial reasoning where the player must use gravity to move a robot, named Century, to its destination. Two different versions of Century were design: a happy-complimentary version, and an angry sarcastic version. The overall purpose of my thesis was to determine the impact various emotional game agents (EGA’s) have on the players intrinsic motivation.
In its current state, PERSPECT has 7 levels, all of which introduce a new obstacle for the player to overcome. The purpose was to see whether or not player’s felt one version of Century helped them overcome these obstacles more than the other. In time, PERSPECT will be released on Steam, with additional levels and voice acting for the two versions of Century.
